How far is Jerudong park playground theme park from Capital

Hi -

can anyone please let me know where exactly the jerudong park playground is in relation to Bandar Seri Begawan?

Their Website is a bit vague and I would appreciate anyone who can tell me the best way to get there -

Hi There,

It%26#39;s a couple of kilometres (approx 5-6 kms) south of the Empire resort.

From BSB city centre it%26#39;s about (approx 10-15 kms) 15 mins out to the Empire, past the airport.

Likely find it about 20 min trip out there to the park.

There%26#39;s a dearth of taxis etc... in Brunei. It would almost pay to book a driver for the day, or prearrange a trip each way.

Or to perhaps go as part of a tour - but of course it structures your time a little more that way.

Final option I can think of is to hire a car at the airport - I did not seriously consider this prior to our trip to Brunei, but it%26#39;s actually a very safe driving country - they seem to adhere to most %26#39;normal%26#39; driving rules...

Jerudong Park is about 20mins car ride from Bandar Seri Begawan.

There is no bus service to the Jerudong Park, as it opens in the evening/night. To get there, u can either arrange for your hotel to drop you off, or hire a taxi. Both of which, are not relatively cheap.

Unfortunately, Jerudong Park is not what it used to be...and not what it is depicted as in tourist brochures. It is now a very run-down amusement park. It feels like a ghost town, in fact, with most rides no longer operating, ever since the maintentance contracts were not renewed. It has been slipping into decay for the last few years. The lawns are kept well, and some rides operate - but food is poor and it can be quite disappointing to go there.

GWP is right. It is only worth it if you have very young kids who need somewhere pleasant outside to run around and play happily for a while. It is still an attractive place to walk in, but not much else. Even the last few rides are being discontinued as they need repair. The pedal boats on the lake were working as were a couple of merry go round style rides last time I went to look, but that%26#39;s all.
