hi there, my friends and i will go to KK this coming May and stay for 4 days, Im quite wondering if its advisable to stay on a beach resort specifically Nexus. well we are on a tight budget and i was thinking its better if we just stay in an affordable city hotel and take a boat perhaps to sapi or manukan island. two of us will be celebrating our birthdays and i want it to be so much fun with a slight burn on our pockets.

please do let me know your comments since i think i need to reserve an accommodation for us before april...

I think that it would put a significant dent in your budget. Much better to stay in the city itself. The Promenade apartments are a great option as you can get 2 or 3 bedroom apartments with a lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. The complex also has a agood pool but no pool bar. They are right by the broadwalk and next to lots of shopping and eating options.

Look at the promenade hotel website and go to Marriner court apartments for details.

Make sure you ask for one of the new apartments.
