Hi there
As we are flying with Royal Brunei from Brisbane/Brunei/Bangkok in 2 weeks I have been tracking flights on the Flightstats.com web site.
Noticed yesterday, 28.02.2009 that BI74 from Brisbane to Brunei was canceled. Can anyone tell me (without stating the obvious) what happens when flight is canceled.
Do Royal Brunei put you on another carrier, do they try to make other arrangements for your journey or is it just bad luck and that%26#39;s it you do not go on holiday??????
Has anyone experienced this, and if so what arrangements were made for you to continue your holiday. Of course we have travel insurance, and would never travel without it.
I hoping someone can put my mind at ease as this holiday for our family of 4 is very important to us all and I suppose i am looking for some reasurance.
Kind regards

Cancelled Royal Brunei flight from Brisbane
Hi
A similar thing happened to me when RBA cancelled its flights to Bali. They sent us on Garuda %26amp; Malaysian Air to KL then on to Bali.We made the most of it and spent a few nights in KL to brake the trip up as there was lots of changes .We had to pay for our accomidation at least they got us there. Our friends in Brunei try to avoid travelling with RBA as it is always changing its schedule and its planes are getting quite old.The food is 3rd rate and no alcaholic drinks just to make things worse .You may be better off with another airline but not so in the case of the two they put us on.
Good Luck all is not lost just stand your ground.

Cancelled Royal Brunei flight from Brisbane
I was one of the passengers from the canceled flight from Brisbane to Brunei, what happened was Brunei Airlines and Brisbane airport rebooked all the passengers into other airlines depending on the destination. They let us stay in a hotel with a dinner voucher so we could rest after a tiring day at the airport before we return for the next flight.
It was overall a hassle-free experience. I did have to wait inside the airport for more than 12 hours. :P
Thank you so much for your replys. It is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Gizzzy
