If anyone know about their contact number and how to get there please let me know.

Thanks

Palm Garden Hotel, Qiulap Brunei

I am staying at the hotel right now and have mixed feelings about it.

On the whole I think it is OK and havent felt it bad enough to want to change hotels.

The location is fantastic with hundreds of shops and restaraunts a short walk away.

The staff (as most people in Brunei are very friendly and helpful.

There is a modern gym next door if you are into that sort of thing which is free to use for guests.

Now for the gripes...

-Christmas carols on repeat play at a volume I can hear in my room. I have taken to calling the front desk at bed time and asking for it to be turned off. :)

-That modern gym has cranking music on friday nights which is controlled my some ametuer. (volume fluctuating all the time, music stops and starts randomly and the same song over and over) it stops at a reasonable hour but interferes with watching TV or reading a book.

-The beds are hard rather than firm.

-The fridge doesnt really cool drinks and I cant see a thermostat

-the WiFi network (which is free to use) is configured poorly so often doesnt work.

-supplied breakfast is pretty bad (2 tespoons of cold baked beans, a cold beef? sausage, toast and egg.) I havent been bake since the 1st day :-)

I would rate the hotel as a 3 star place and if it wasnt for the excellent location and great staff I would definately move to another hotel.
