Shopping in Kota Kinabalu

Hi everyone

My partner and I are spending 6 days in Kota Kinabalu at the end of Sept/start of Oct. What is the shopping like over there? Is it the kind of place you take minimal clothing to because there is a wide range of clothing to buy and bring back?

Where are the best places to shop over there?
