Orchid Garden Hotel stopover

Hi, Has anyone stayed here? Is it far from town %26amp; how much would a taxi cost into town? Do the hotel arrange any decent short trips (2-4 hours).

I%26#39;m a local and I%26#39;ve never had the reason to stay at the Orchid Garden Hotel so far! But been there for dine-in or wedding functions at the Ballroom. Reasonable I%26#39;d say, nothing too spectacular. Not sure about the rooms though.

The Hotel is fairly close to the airport (~5 mins%26#39; drive away) but it%26#39;s probably 15-20 mins%26#39; drive from the Capital City, which is still not that far away. But the hotel is located near a residential area and the Brunei stadium but it is nowhere close to shopping complexes if you need to get your necessities. You need to drive to get to Serusop (closest shopping complex area) but that is only 5-10 mins%26#39; away though.

I%26#39;m sure the hotel would be able to arrange short trips but you might need to contact them for that. Can%26#39;t help you much there.

Thanks for your helpful reply. We found the Orchid Garden to be fine for a short stop over and took a 4 hour tour of the city and water village, which was very good. We would recommend the Orchid Garden for this purpose, although as stated it is a short taxi ride out of town.
