Transit in Brunei

Hi there

I will be arriving in Brunei 27 Dec at 6:30 am on my way to Bangkok and have an 8 hour wait until connecting flight. Is it easy and relatively inexpensive to do short tours during my wait? Do I require a visa or are transit passes needed? I will also be having a stopover on the way home and am wondering what things there are to do at night time (nothing crazy, just some pretty sights etc).

thank you, kaz

Transit in Brunei

There is at least one travel desk at the airport which can to short 1/2 day City tours. I also beleive that Royal Brunei Airlines will arrange transit tours. You will need a 72 hour transit visa but they are issued at the airport. There is a fee and payment is only accepted in Brunei or Singapore Dollars. I think it was $5. They let me exchange currency at the Airport.
