we will be in brunei on Sept 30-Oct 2 and would like to know if the Royal Palace will be open on Oct 2 in time for the ending of Ramadan. and also, what time it opens? is it open also for non muslim, like me? i would be grateful for your inputs, thanks...
Is Istana Nurul Iman open on Oct 2,2008
Sorry for the late reply but thought I would reply anyway for future reference on this site. The Istana is open on day 2 and 3 of Hari Raya. So it depends on when Hari Raya starts. This year, day 1 was 2nd October so the Istana was open to all - visitors and residents alike, on the 3rd and 4th of October. There is complimentary all you can eat buffet provided for all visitors to the palace. Men queue to meet the Sultan and Women meet the Queen in another room so if you are going as a couple, make arrangements as to where you will meet afterwards before you get separated.
